Language
The official language is Arabic, but it is only spoken by
about half of the population living mainly in the central and
northern regions. Darfur is spoken in the western province.
Nilotic and Nilo-hamitic languages are spoken in the south.
There are also over 100 other local languages.
English is usually spoken by officials and business people.
